A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING
A CONSULTING SERVICES CONTRACT TO SA ASSOCIATES FOR DESIGN
SERVICES FOR THE WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NO.
4011.67.950 AND FOR THE SEWER MAIN REHABILITATION PROJECT, PROJECT
NO. 4011.67.887 FOR ANOT-TO-EXCEED FEE OF $48,000 AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT

WHEREAS, the Water Main Improvements Project, Project No. 4011.67.950 and
' the Sewer Rehabilitation Project, Project 4011.67.887 are listed in the FY 2008-09
Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, on March 18, 2008, the City of Lynwood released a Request for
Proposals (RFP) for the design and preparations of contract documents for said
projects; and
WHEREAS, three (3) consulting firms responded to the RFP; and
WHEREAS, SA Associates is a qualified consulting firm that has the staffing and
expertise to prepare the project design and contract documents for a fee of not-to-
exceed $48,000; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council awards a consulting services
contract to SA Associates in anot-to-exceed amount of $48,000 for the design of water
~,,, and sewer mains, Project 4011.67.950 and Project 4011.67.887.

1 Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Agreement between
the City of Lynwood and SA Associates in a form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of December, 2008.
