A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ADOPTING
THE SPECIFICATIONS AND WORKING DETAILS FOR THE LIGHT EMITTING
DIODES (LED) RETROFIT PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 4011.67.882, AND
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SOLICIT BIDS
WHEREAS, the specifications and working details for the Light Emitting Diodes
~` (LED) Retrofit Project, Project No. 4011.67.882, are now complete and ready for the
City Council's review and consideration; and
' WHEREAS, on May 20, 2008 Resolution 2008-076 of the City Council authorized
to the Mayor to execute the low interest rate loan agreement with California Energy
Commission in the amount of $330,000 to retrofit the traffic signals lights from
incandesces to Light Emitting Diodes (LED's); and
WHEREAS, the estimated construction cost of the project is $300,000; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City of Lynwood has
determined that said project is in accordance with the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) and is categorically exempt; and
WHEREAS, the project is ready to be advertised for the solicitation of bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood adopts the
Specifications and Working Details for the Light Emitting Diodes (LED) Retrofit Project,

I Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the
solicitation of bids for said project.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
