A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AWARDING A CONTRACT TO J.A.
SALAZAR CONSTRUCTION & SUPPLY CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
(FROM VIRGIN A AVENUENTO WRIGHT R01AD)RPROJE O NUMBER 1401 567950,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Reclaimed Water Main Project located on Josephine Street
(from Virginia Avenue to Wright Road), Project No. 4011.67.950 is scheduled for
completion during fiscal year (FY) 2008-2009; and
WHEREAS, the project is funded by the 1999 Water Bond; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening took place on November 26, 2008, and J.A. Salazar
Construction & Supply Corporation was the apparent lowest bidder at $93,000; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that this contractor has the
necessary experience for this type of project.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby find, proclaim, order and
resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the contract for the Reclaimed Water Main Project located on
Josephine Street (from Virginia Avenue to Wright Road), Project No. 4011.67.950, be
awarded to J.A. Salazar Construction & Supply Corporation for its low bid of $93,000.
Section 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the agreement
between the City of Lynwood and J.A. Salazar Construction & Supply Corporation.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16"' day of December, 2008.
