RESOLUTION NO. 86 -2451 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF. FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Temple City has, by Resolution No. 86- 1258PC determined that a public nuisance as defined in the Municipal Code exists on certain premises and recommends abate- ment thereof; and WHEREAS, no appeal has been taken from said determination with respect to time in which to abate the nuisance; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE: SECTION 1. That a public nuisance as defined in the Municipal Code of the City of Temple City, exists on the premises designated as 6324 Encinita Avenue, City of Temple City, California, and more particu- larly described as a portion of Lot 2, Santa Anita Company's Tract, Map Book 6, Page 137 of maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, in the following particulars: A. Dead trees, weeds and debris constituting unsightly appearance, dangerous to public safety and welfare or detrimental to nearby property or property values. Section 4230(c) B. Overgrown vegetation likely to harbor rats, vermin or other nuisances. Section 4230(h) C. Inoperable or abandoned motor vehicles stored for unreasonable periods in front or sideyard areas causing depreciation of nearby property values. Section 4230(k) SECTION 2. The property owner is ordered to abate the nuisance within thirty (30) days by the following methods: A. Removal of all miscellaneous debris and items from front porch and all yard areas. B. Removal of'inoperative vehicles from driveway or proper storage per 9332(1) Temple City Zoning Code. C. Trim back vegetation from property lines; removal of undergrowth and plant refuse. SECTION 3. If said abatement is not accomplished by the expir- ation of thirty (30) days, the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause said public nuisance to be abated by City forces or private contractor pursuant to the Municipal Code. SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be served on. the owner of said premises pursuant to the Municipal- Code.
