Resolution Approving Change Order #1 for the
City Hall Parking Lots Reconstruction Project
WHEREAS, pursuant to notice duly published in the manner and form prescribed and as required by
State Statute, bids and proposals were received by the Clerk and reported to this Council for the
proposed City Hall Parking Lots Reconstruction project (the "Project") for the City as described in the
public notice of hearing; and,
WHEREAS, KE Flatwork was awarded the contract for the Project under Resolution 2023-043, approved
June 13, 2023, in the amount of $375,957.25; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined necessary and prudent by Council to make the following additions to
the project as described in Change Order #1 provided by MSA Professional Services:
Original Award:
Adjustments per Change Order #1:
Construct (2) 4' wide paths from back of curb 200'
Grading at (1) location
New Amount of Contract with Change:
$ 375,957.25
$ 17,000.00
$ 392,957.25; and,
WHEREAS, the funding source for this action is #301-650-6499, General Fund, City Hall Buildings, Other
Contractual Services.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1. Change Order #1 is approved.
Section 2. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized to sign Change Order #1.
Section 3. KE Flatwork is authorized to begin work pursuant to Change Order #1 as of the date of this
resolution.
