A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR
THE CITY ENTRY SIGN PROJECT, 5-5060, AND
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO RESTRUCTURE AND
READVERTISE THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Entry Marker Project, 5-5060 is shown
in the CIP list of Fiscal Year 1987-88 Budget; and
WHEREAS, on November 19, 1987, a bid opening coas held
in the City Clerks office; and
WHEREAS, all bids substantially exceed the engineers
estimate for the project; and
WHEREAS, after careful review it is concluded that the
bids are too high; and
WHEREAS, by restructuring the project into Formal and.
informal bids more competitive prices can be realized; and
WHEREAS, by four-fifth (4/5) vote, the City Council can
waive formal bid proceedures.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of 'the City of Lynwood.
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council reject all bads for
this project.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes staff t,o
restructure the project into formal and informal bids.
Section 3. That the City Council authorizes staff to
readvertise for bids.
Section 4. This resolution shall. become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
