AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE 2005 RECREATION
OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES GRANT
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs has awarded the
Borough of Carteret a 2005 Recreation Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities
Grant in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Borough hereby accepts hereby said grant to provide for a field trip to
the Crayola Crayon Factory for approximately forty (40) individuals with disabilities; and
WHEREAS, the Borough must enter into a formal grant agreement memorializing the
terms of said grant with the Department of Community Affairs;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the Borough of Carteret hereby accepts the 2005 Recreation
Opportunities with Disability Grant in the amount of$I,OOO.OO.
2. That said grant monies will be used to fund a field trip to the Crayola Crayon
Factory for approximately forty (40) individuals with disabilities.
3. That Mayor Daniel J. Reiman and Borough Clerk, Kathleen M. Barney, are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the formal Grant Agreement with
the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.
4. That the Borough Clerk is hereby directed to forward the original, executed
Grant Agreement to the Department of Community Affairs along with a
certified copy of this Resolution.

original on December 17, 2004.
