A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THR CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO OBTAIN INFOR.MAL~
BIDS FOR 'PHE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE INTERSECTION
OF ELh1WOOD AVENUE AND VIRGINIA AVENUE.

{JHEREAS, the existing condition of the street :i.s both
hazardous and unsightly; and
WHEREAS, the construction. oY concrete cross gutters and
asphalt pavement, i.s needed; and
WHEREAS, informal bids could. be obtained. for the
repairs; and
WHEREAS, by a four-fifth vote, City Council can have
formal bid procedures; and
WHEREAS, funding is available under Slurry - Patching
Project FY 7.987- 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the C.i.ty of Lynwood.
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as fo.l:l.ows:
Section 1. That staff obtain informal bads for the
reconstruction of E:Lmwood Ave. and Virginia Ave., and
subsequently issue a purchase order to the lowest responsible
bidder.
Section 'L. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon .i.ts adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and. ADOPTED this 2nd day of
February 1988.
