Home My Public Portal About039-2001 - General Ordinance - Amends Chapter 120 of the Richmond Code (Alarm Permits)ORDINANCE NO. 39 - 2001 A GENERAL ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 120 OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND CODE REGARDING ALARM PERMITS WHEREAS, Chapter 120 of Richmond Code regulates burglar, robbery, and fire alarm systems within the City of Richmond; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to amend this chapter to require that alarm permits be displayed near the entrance to the facility were the alarm system exists; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to amend this chapter to provide that personal information about the individual responsible for the facility where such an alarm system exists not be included on the permit to be displayed. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the following Sections of Chapter 120 of the Richmond City Code shall be amended to as follows except that portions that appear in bold shall appear in normal print and portions that are stricken shall not appear (bold portions represent new additions to Code and stricken portions represent deletions; these are included to facilitate understanding of the changes being made): 1. 120.03 PERMIT APPLICATION (g) The information in (a) and (c) as well as a statement that contact information is available from dispatch shall be displayed on the permit itself. A new Section 120.04(g) shall be added to read as follows: All permits must be prominently displayed at a location near the entrance to the facility utilizing an alarm system and in such a manner that they can be viewed by law enforcement without having to enter the premises.
