HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 86-2455RESOLUTION NO'. 86 -.2455 :A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF. FOR THE 'CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Temple City has, by Resolution No. 86- 1265PC determined that a public nuisance as defined in the Municipal Code exists on certain premises and recommends abatement thereof; and WHEREAS, no appeal has ' been,:. taken ..from -said�,•determination with respect ..to -time iin,which to abate' the nuisance; .. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE: SECTION 1. That a public nuisance as defined in the Municipal Code of the City of Temple City, exists on the premises designated as 6211 Encinita, City of Temple City, California, and more particularly described as Portion of Lot 284, Tract 5904, Map Book 80, Pages 74 -75 of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of California in the following particulars: A. Inoperable or abandoned motor vehicles stored for unrea- sonable periods in front and side yard areas which cause depreciation of nearby property values. Section 4230(k). B. Packing boxes and other debris stored in yards and visible from public streets for unreasonable periods. Section 4230(p). SECTION 2. The property owner is ordered to abate the nuisance within twenty (20) days by the following methods: A. Removal or storage of inoperative vehicles within an enclosed building or open area enclosed by view - obscuring fencing not less than 6 ft. in height. B. Removal of cut branches from front and side areas. C. Paint fence,along front (east) property line. D. Abatement to be accomplished within 20 days. SECTION 3. If said abatement is not accomplished by the expiration of twenty (20) days, the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause said public nuisance to be abated by City forces or private contractor pursuant to the Municipal Code. Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be served on the owner of said premises pursuant to the Municipal Code. ISECTION-5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. Resolution No. 86 -2455 - Page 2 APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 15th Day of July, 1986.
