RESOLUTION NO. 86 -2457
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A
PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF.
FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Temple City has
by Resolution No. 86- 1267PC determined that a public nuisance as defined
in the Municipal Code exists on certain premises and recommends abate-
ment thereof; and
WHEREAS, no appeal has been taken from said determination with
respect to time in which to abate the nuisance;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 'CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. That a public nuisance, as defined in the Municipal
Code of the City of Temple City, exists on the premises designated as
4812 Agnes, City of Temple City, California, and more particularly
described as portion of Lot 12, Tract 9848, Map B OK 137, Pages 67 -68
of maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles,
State of California in the following particulars:
4230(i) Dead trees, weeds and debris constituting unsightly
appearance or dangerous to the public safety and welfare or
detrimental to nearby property values.
4230(r) Maintenance of premises in such conditions as to
be detrimental to the public health, safety and general
welfare or in such manners as to constitute a public nuisance
as defined by Civil Code 3430.
SECTION 2. The property owner is ordered to abate the nuisance
within ten (10) days by the following methods:
1) Remove all dry, overgrown weeds from all yard areas.
2) . Remove litter from front yard.
3) Regularly maintain property.
4) Abatement to be accomplished within 10 days.
SECTION 3. If said abatement is not accomplished by the
expiration of ten (10) days, the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to cause said public nuisance to be abated by City forces or
private contractor pursuant to the Municipal Code.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of
this Resolution to be served on the owner of said premises pursuant to
the Municipal Code.
.SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
