Leesburg To Establish Special Trash Collection Sites with
Rolloff Dumpsters at Eight Locations
Curbside residential trash collection cancelled for Thursday and Friday, January
28 and 29, 2016.
Leesburg, VA (January 27, 2016) – Due to the current road conditions throughout the
residential areas of Leesburg, the Town has cancelled curbside residential trash, recycling and
yard waste collection for Thursday and Friday, January 28 and 29, 2016.
In consultation with the Town’s trash contractor, CSI, rolloff dumpsters will be placed at eight
designated locations throughout the Town’s four quadrants for residents to drop off trash. The
dumpsters will be in place by 9:00am on Thursday, January 29, and will remain in place until
2:00pm on Saturday, January 30, 2016. The dumpster locations will be:
Leesburg Elementary, 323 Plaza St NE
Ball’s Bluff Elementary, 821 Battlefield Pkwy NE
Tolbert Elementary, 691 Potomac Station Dr NE
Cool Spring Elementary, 501 Tavistock Dr SE
Evergreen Elementary, 491 Evergreen Mill Rd SE
Catoctin Elementary, 311 Catoctin Cir SW
Ida Lee Park, 60 Ida Lee Dr NW (on the east side of the Recreation Center)
Liberty Street Parking Lot, near the intersection of Liberty St SW and Royal St SW
No recycling will be collected at these locations. Residents are requested to hold their recycling
until normal collections resume next week.
Normal trash and recycling collections for commercial curbside customers in the Historic
Downtown will resume on Thursday, January 28, 2016.
