A RESOLU'T'ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF'
A PICKUP TRUCK AND, CAB AND CHASSIS UNIT
WHEREAS, the the City Council desires to provide the
necessary equipment to continue providing a safe and efficient
Fire Department operation; and
WHEREAS, on January 6, 1988, City Counci_1 author:i.ze
staff to advertise for bids and appropriated funds for the
purchases; and
WHEREAS, on February 23, 1988, the bid opening was
held in the office of the City Cleric and Pech Ford of Whittier
was the lowest responsible bidder for the purchase of a pick=, up
truck with a bid of $13,227.58 and Thorson GMC Buick, Inc. of
Pasadena was the lowest responsible bidder for the purchase of a
cab and chassis unit with a low bid of $16,577.79.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood.
does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follocas:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of
Lynwood award a contract for the purchase of one pickup truck
to Peck Road Road, Inc., based on their iow bid of
$13,277.58.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of
Lynwood award a contract for the purchase of a cab and chasms
unit to Thorson GMC Buick, Inc., based on their low bid of
$7.6,577.79.
Section 3: This resoluticn shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
