HomeMy Public PortalAbout88-036 (03-15-88)RESOLUTION NO. 88-36 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF` LYNWOOD ORDERING THE 6~ACATION AND ABANDOP:MENT FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES OF THE FIRST ALLEY NORTH OF CENTIIR.Y BOULEVARD BETWEEN ALEXANDER AVENUE AND FRACAR AVENUE, CITY OF LI'NWOOD WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood dial, ~ on the 16th day of February, 1988 adopt a Resolution No. 88-17, declaring its intention to vacate The first alley Mort:h of Imperial Highway between Alexander Avenue and Fracar Avenue, and WFIEREAS, notices of said vacation were published. and posted in the Lynwood Press, form and manner required. by law, and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on the matter was held on the ].5th day of March, 1.988, as prescribed by law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Caunci.l of the City of Lynwood as follows: Section 1. That the following described alley easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public, use, and. that t;he public interest, necessity, and convenience require, and. the C]ty Council of said City hereby declares its order to vacate and abandon said alley easement as described below: That portion of first alley (16 feet wide) North of Imperial Highway between Alexander Avenue and Fracar Avenue, as shown on flap of Tract Map No. 12197, in the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles i•Iap Book 227, pages 37 through 38 of maps .n the , office of the Los Angeles County Recorder. Bounded. on the North by the southerly line of Lot 11 of said tract; bounded on the South by the northerly line of Lot 9 and 10; bounded westerly by northerly prolongation of westerly line of hoi; 9; and bounded easterly by northerly prolongation of easterly line of Lot 10, said line being the westerly right-of-way line of Alexander Avenue {50 feet wade). Section 2. That ari easement be reserved for City of Lynwood in, over, or upon said above described property for the construction, erection, and/or maintenance therein of pub.li.c utilities. Said easement being the northerly five {5) feet of said. described alley. Section 3. That an easement be reserved. for Pacific Bell Company, a corporation organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of California, a right-of-way to construct, maintain, operate replace, renew, remove and repair power facilities consisting of poles, anchors, guys, cables, wi-res, crossarms, conduits, manholes, handholes, markers, pedestals, transformers, terminal equipment cabinets, elect;ri.cal. conductors and necessary fixtures and appuretenances. Said easement, being the northerly five (5) feet of said described alley. Section 4. That an easement be reserved. for Southern California Edison Company, a corporation organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of California, a right- of-way to construct, mai.ntai.n, operate replace, renew, remove and repair power facilities consisting of poles, anchors, guys, cab]es, wires, crossarms, conduits, manholes, handholes, markers, pedestals, transformers, terminal. equipment cabinets, electrical conductors and necessary fixtures and appuretenances. Said easement being i:he northerly fi.ce (5) feet of said described alley. C06.520 Section 5. That an easement be reserved for the Southern California Gas Company, a corporation organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of California, their successors and assigns, a right-of-way to lay, construct, maintain, operate, replace, repair, change the size of an remove one or more pipelines, with metering, measuring, regulating, products and ether substances with the right of ingress and egress to and from the same, over, under and. along said above described property. Said easement being the northerly five (51 feet of said described alley. Section 6. That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood shall cause a certified copy of said order to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County. Section 7.
