HomeMy Public PortalAbout88-037 (03-15-88)RESOLUTION N0. 88-37 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES OF A PORTION PLATT AVENUE, 65 FEET WEST OF CALIFORNIA AVENUE (3507 AND 3513 PLATT A\%ENUE) CITY OF LYNWOOD l WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood dial, on the 1.6th day of February-, 1988, adopt a Resolution No. 88-19, declaring its intention to vacate a portion of Platt Avenue, 65 feet west of California Avenue (3507 and 3513 Platt Avenue); and WHEREAS, notices of said vacation were published and posted in the Lynwood Press, form and manner required by law, and WHEREAS, a Public Hearing on the matter was held on the 15th day of March, 1988, as prescribed by law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of 'the City of Lynwood as follows: Section 1. That the following describe=d street easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public use, and that the public interest, necessity, and convenience require, and the City Council of said Cii:y hereby declares its order to vacate and abandon said street easement as described below: That portion of Platt Avenue (3507 and 3513 Tract No. 2551 in the Angeles, Map Book 24, the Los Angeles Count Avenue, 65 feet west of California ~ Platt Avenue} as shown on map of ~~, City of Lynwood, County of Los ~~ pages 78-80 of maps in the Office of y Recorder described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 468 of said Tract No. 2551, thence westerly along the southerly line of said Lot 28.65 feet to the true point of beginning; thence south 62 11" 36" E., a distance of 55.5 feet to a point of tangency with a curve concave northerly and having a radius of 7 feet; thence southeasterly and northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 72 18'22" to a point of tangency with a curve concave southeaste:ly having a radius of 58 feet; thence northeasterly along said curve to its point of intersection with the southerly line of Lot 469 of said Tract No. 2551; thence westerly along said southerly tine and along the southerly line of Lot 468, to the true point of beginning. Section 2. That an easement be reserved for City of Lynwood. in, over, or upon said above described property for the construction, erection, and/or maintenance therein of public uti.li.ties. Section 3. That an easement be reserved For Pacific Bell Company, a corporation organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of California, a right-of-way to construct, maintain, operate replace, renew, remove and repair power facilities consisting of poles, anchors, guys, cables, wires, crossarms, conduits, manholes, handholes, markers, pedestals, transformers, terminal equipment cabinets, electrical conductors and necessary fixtures and appuretenances. That an easement be reserved for Southern California Edison Company, a corporation organized and existing under and Uy virtue of the laws of the State of California, a right- of-way to construct, maintain, operate replace, renew, remove and repair power facilities consisting of poles, anchors, guys, cables, wires, cr.ossarms, conduits, manholes, handholes, markers, pedestals, transformers, terminal equipment cabinets, electrical conductors and necessary fixtures and appuretenances. Section 5. That an easement be reserved for the Southern California Gas Company, a corporation organized. and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of California, their successors and. assigns, a right-of-way to lay, construct, maintain, operate, replace, repair, change the size of an remove one or more pipelines, with metering, measuring, regulating, products and other substances with the right of ingress and egress to and from the same, over, under and along said above described property. Section 6. That a fire lane be maintained over the existing street. Section r. That the existing drainage structures be maintained by the adjacent property owners. Section 8. That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood shall cause a certified copy of said order to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County. Section 9. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon .its adoption.
