Weekend Snow Removal Operations in Leesburg
Leesburg, VA (January 29, 2016) – Over the weekend, Town streets crews and contractors will
be working throughout Town to clear school bus stops on major roadways such as Battlefield
Parkway and to improve sight distance at intersections.
The Town will not be clearing residential streets curb-to-curb. Curb-to-curb snow removal will
push snow back into driveways and over sidewalks that residents have shoveled. With the
warmer temperatures forecast for the weekend, street conditions throughout Town should
improve naturally. Crews will monitor conditions throughout the weekend to determine if
further snow removal is necessary.
Crews will respond to resident requests to improve specific areas in need of attention.
Residents are asked to use the online form at www.leesburgva.gov/snowissue to submit these
requests. Submissions will be monitored throughout the weekend.
