A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITI'
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE THROUGH AN
INFORMAL BID OF THREE PICKUP TRUCKS
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide t:he
necessary equipment to continue providing a safe and efficient
C9_ty maintenance operation; and
WHEREAS, the three pickup trucks to be pa.~rchased are
listed in the Budget for FY 1987-88, under the Capital. Outlay
List; and
A'HEREAS, the acquisition can be more economically ef-
fected if done through an informal bid; and
lti'HEREAS, under Section 2-62 (c) of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize purchases through informal bids by a.
4/v vote; and
WHEREAS, there is adequate unexpended appropriations in
the C;arage Fund, and
WF[EREAS, $6,100 of Garage Funds will he L-ransfered to
the Automotive Equipment account and added to the burgeted amount
of $18,000 for the purchase; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of L,yxtwood
does hereb,Y find, proclaim and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and
~` determines that the acquisition of three pickup trucks can be more
efficiently and economically effected by an infcrmal b-id
procedure, in that a better price for the equipment could be
obtained from that of a formal bi.d.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is
authorized to make the following transfers and appropriati.ns:

Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
