A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF A SOUND SYSTEM FOR THE CITY COUNCIL
CHAMDERS
WHEREAS, The City owned sound system located in the
City Council Chambers does not meet current needs; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has received and evaluated
three proposals for the replacement of this sound system; and
WHEREAS, The Carrigan Enterprises proposal for the
Council Chambers provides the best combination of features at
the most cost-effective price option; and
WHEREAS, The attached proposal (See Exhibit "A")
states the equipment to be provided by Carrigan Enterprises
and at the price therein stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. Since purchase of a sound system is more
economically and efficiently effected through negotiations and
informal bidding, City Council waives formal bidding procedures
in accordance with Section 2.62 of the Municipal Code.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to sign a
purchase agreement for the sound system.
Section 3. That the following appropriations are
made to the FY 1987 88 budget:

City Clerk 1-4002-4252
Amount
$15,579.26
Section 4. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
