A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
APPROVING THE ADOPTION BY THE LYNWOOD
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CONFLICT OF
INTEREST CODE.
WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act (Government Code Sections
81000 et seq.) requires state and local government agencies to
('~"' adopt and promulgate conflict of interest codes, and provides
II that such codes shall have the force of law; and
WHEREAS, section 87302 of the Political Reform Act requires
each agency, in its conflict of interest code, to designate those
positions that involve the making of, or participation in,
decisions which may foreseeably affect any financial: interest;
and
WHEREAS, The Fair Political Practices Commission has adopted
a regulation (2 California Administrative Code Section 18730)
which contains the terms of a conflict of interest code, which
can be incorporated by reference, and which will be amended to
conform to amendments in the Political Reform Act after public
notice and hearings conducted by the Fair Political Practices
Commission pursuant to the Administrative Prodecure Act
(Government Code Section 11370, st seq.);
WHEREAS, The Lynwood Redevelopment Agency adopted the
Conflict of Interest Code on April 5, 1988;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council, as the Code Reviewing
Authority, does approve the adoption of the Conflict of Interest
Code by the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its' adoption.
