RESOLUTION NO. 88-68
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING
TO ASCERTAIN IF A PUBLIC NUISANCE EXISTS AT 12031
+~ ATLANTIC BLVD. WITHIN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD

WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the
City of Lynwood that the La Cita Bar located at 12031 Atlantic
Blvd., Parcel # 6186-001-004 of the Los Angeles County's Assessors
parcel map book has been identified as a potential public
nuisance and
WHEREAS, it has been reported that La Cita's conducting
of business at the above described location allegedly creates a
potential hazard to the safety and welfare of both its customers
and adjacent property owners and
WHEREAS, this potential threat has been displayed by
numerous fights, reported shooting of weapons and loud or
boisterous conduct by intoxicated clientele of the La Cita Bar.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Council of the City
of Lynwood does hereby direct the City Manager of the City of
Lynwood to set a public hearing for June 21, 1988 in accordance
with Section 12-17 of the City of Lynwood Municipal Code to allow
public testimony and provide the owner of said property the
opportunity to correct the situation or show cause why the City
Council should not declare the La Cita Bar a public nuisance.
