Mayor Mikulich stated that improvements to Brow n St . in the downtown area wo uld not be undertake n until 1967. The pu rpose of this meeti ng was to discuss a nd approve the proposed 1966 city budget. Roll was called with the follo wing aldermen present: Bonne, Church, Clark Gr an t, Jo hn s, Joslin, Lawrence, Leith, Mac on & Wiegand. Abse nts Ald. Lovestead. Mayor Mikulich discussed the entire budget with membe rs of the council: At the conclu sion of the discussion, k!MOTION WAS MADE by Ald .. Johns a nd seconded by Ald. Cla rk to adopt the pr sed 1966 city b udget, as recomo. men ded by the Finance Committee , an d set the tax rate at $36.00 per thousand. On ro ll. call, carr ied u nanimously.
