Resolution Approving a Contract with gWorks for the
Cloud-Based Utility Billing Hub
WHEREAS, the City is current subscribing to and utilizing the desktop-based gWorks Utility Billing module;
and,
WHEREAS, the gWorks cloud-based Utility Billing hub launched on October 5, 2023, and automates the
process of billing and collecting payments for the City’s sewer enterprise utility with enhanced billing,
account management, landlord management, and reporting features; and,
WHEREAS, the one-time fee to implement and onboard the gWorks cloud-based Utility Billing hub is
$2,000, and the additional annual recurring fee is $3,000, for a grand up-front total due of $5,000; and,
WHEREAS, the funding source for this action is 610-815-6419 Sewer Enterprise, Sewer & Sewage
Disposal, Technology Services Expense.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with gWorks for the cloud-based
Utility Billing hub at a one-time cost of $2,000, and annual recurring fees of $3,000, for a
grand total of $5,000, due up-front.
Section 2. Staff members are authorized to pay gWorks the total sum of $5,000 upon receipt of an
invoice.
