Resolution Approving a Contract with gWorks for the
Cloud-Based Operations Hub
WHEREAS, the gWorks cloud-based Operations hub maintains infrastructure by streamlining processes
for public works, permits, and building maintenance by offering online work orders, permits, code
enforcement, workflow management, job costing, and reporting; and,
WHEREAS, the functionality offered by the gWorks Operations hub would organize and streamline
public works operations; and,
WHEREAS, the gWorks Operations hub will increase ease of use for citizens with the ability to submit
alerts for work orders and permits online; and,
WHEREAS, the one-time fee to implement and onboard the gWorks cloud-based Operations hub is
$605, and the annual recurring fee is $756, for a grand up-front total due of $1,361; and,
WHEREAS, the funding sources for this action are:
40% #001-430-6419 General Fund | Parks | Technology Services Expense
20% #001-650-6419 General Fund | City Hall Buildings | Technology Services Expense
20% #110-210-6419 Street Fund | Roads, Bridges, & Sidewalks | Technology Services Expense
10% #110-250-6419 Street Fund | Snow Removal | Technology Services Expense
5% #110-298-6419 Street Fund | Storm Sewer | Technology Services Expense
5% #610-815-6419 Sewer Fund | Sewer & Sewage Disposal | Technology Services Expense

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with gWorks for the cloud-based
Operations hub at a one-time cost of $605, and annual recurring fees of $756, for a grand
total of $1,361, due up-front.
Section 2. Staff members are authorized to pay gWorks the total sum of $1,361 upon receipt of an
invoice.
