Resolution Approving a Contract with gWorks for the
Cloud-Based Maps Hub
WHEREAS, the gWorks cloud-based Maps hub maximizes the efficiency of public works operations
through GIS mapping, public access to data, reporting, an asset repository, spatial analysis capabilities,
and other additional features; and,
WHEREAS, the functionality offered by the gWorks cloud-based Maps hub would organize and
streamline public works operations and allow the sharing of data with other entities; and,
WHEREAS, the gWorks cloud-based Maps hub will increase ease of use for citizens by allowing them
access to specific, limited data; and,
WHEREAS, the one-time fee to implement and onboard the gWorks cloud-based Maps hub is $1,500,
and the annual recurring fee is $600, for a grand up-front total due of $2,100; and,
WHEREAS, the funding sources for this action are:
40% #001-430-6419 General Fund | Parks | Technology Services Expense
20% #001-650-6419 General Fund | City Hall Buildings | Technology Services Expense
20% #110-210-6419 General Fund | Roads, Bridges, & Sidewalks | Technology Services Expense
10% #110-250-6419 General Fund | Snow Removal | Technology Services Expense
5% #110-298-6419 General Fund | Storm Sewer | Technology Services Expense
5% #610-815-6419 Sewer Fund | Sewer & Sewage Disposal | Technology Services Expense

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with gWorks for the cloud-based Maps
hub at a one-time cost of $1,500, and annual recurring fees of $600, for a grand total of
$2,100, due up-front.
Section 2. Staff members are authorized to pay gWorks the total sum of $2,100 upon receipt of an
invoice.
