Lisa Beatty Joins Town of Leesburg as Controller
Leesburg, VA (February 4, 2016) – Lisa Beatty recently
joined the Town of Leesburg as Controller. In her new
position, Lisa will be responsible for ensuring proper
fiscal procedures and internal controls are in place,
producing the Town’s Comprehensive Annual
Financial Report and overseeing a variety of special
projects.
Ms. Beatty comes to the Town of Leesburg from the
accounting firm Kearney & Company in Washington,
DC, where she was an Audit Readiness/Audit Liaison
Manager. Previously, Ms. Beatty served as Accounting
Manager for the Millville (New Jersey) Board of
Education, Assistant School Business Administrator for
the City of Vineland (New Jersey) Public School District and Audit Manager at Fort, Scott and
Associates in Ocean City, New Jersey.
“Lisa brings a good mix of local government and private sector experience to the Town,”
commented Clark Case, Leesburg’s Director of Finance and Administrative Services. “The
controller plays a critical role on the Town’s finance team and Lisa has already proven herself
capable of taking on the challenges of that role.”
Ms. Beatty holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Stockton University. She is a Certified
Public Accountant, licensed in both New Jersey and Virginia and is a member of ISACA, a global
membership association for IT and information systems professionals.
