A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TEMPLE CITY HONORING PASADENA CITY COLLEGE
PRESIDENT DR. JOHN W. CASEY FOR OUSTANDING
SERVICE IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY RE-
SOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, DR. JOHN W. CASEY has served the commu-
nity well for more than 30 years in the field of education; and
WHEREAS, he served as President /Superintendent of
Pasadena College from 1983 to 1987, as Chancellor of Seattle
College District from 1977 to 1983, and as President of Fullerton
College from 1969 to 1977; and
WHEREAS, DR. CASEY has served on many local, state
and national committees and commissions and has been active in
professional organization8;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY and on behalf of all resi-
dents, many of whom have attended Pasadena City College, does
hereby express sincere appreciation and thanks to DR. CASEY for
his distinguished service and highly commend him for his many
contributions in the field of education.
