A RESOLU'T'ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'rl'
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE THROUGH
INI'ORh1AL; BIDS OF A TRAFFIC STRIPING MACHINE,
POWER hIUWER UNIT AND A GANG MOWER U'NI'I'.
WHEREAS, the L'ity Council desires to provide the
necessary equipment to continue providing a safe and efficient
City maintenance operation; and
WHEREAS, the above mentioned equipment is listed in the
Budget for FY 1987-88, under the Capital Outlay List; and
WHEREAS, the acquisition can be more economically ef-
fected if done through an informal bid process; and
R'HEREAS, under Section 2-62 (c) of the Lynwood h'lunicipal
Code, Council can authorize purchases through informal bids by a
4/5 vote; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follo~.*s:
Section 1, The City Council hereby finds and
determines that the acquisition of a Traffic Striping Machine,
Power Mower Unit and Gang Mower Unit can be more effici.ent.ly= and
economically effected by an informal bid procedure, i.n that a
better price for the equipment, could be obtained from that of a
formal bid.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is
authorized to make the following transfers and appropriations:

Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
