RESOLUTION NO. 86 -2680
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A
PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF.
FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Temple City has by Resolution No. 86 -1292 PC determined that a
public nuisance as defined in the Municipal Code exists on cer-
tain premises and recommends abatement thereof; and
WHEREAS, no appeal has been taken from said deter-
mination with respect to time in which to abate the nuisance;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. That a public nuisance, as defined in
the Municipal Code of the City of Temple City, exists on the
premises designated as 10659 Daines Drive particularly described
asE.J. Baldwin's addition No. 1 to Santa Anita Colony, M.R. 52,
Page 60 of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, in the following particulars:
4230(i) - Dead trees, weeds and debris constitut-
ing unsightly appearance or dangerous to
public safety and welfare.
4230(k) - Inoperable or abandoned motor vehicles
stored for unreasonable periods in front
and side yard areas which cause depre-
ciation of nearby property or property
values.
SECTION 2. The property owner is ordered to abate
the nuisance within thirty (30) days by the following methods:
(1) Remove inoperative vehicles from property or
storage of vehicle in garage or open area
enclosed by permanent view - obscuring 6'
fencing.
(2) Remove plant debris from north property line.
SECTION 3. If said abatement is not accomplished
by the expiration of thirty (30) days, the City Manager is hereby
authorized and directed to cause said public nuisance to be
abated by City forces or private contractor pursuant to the
Municipal Code.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
cause a copy of this Resolution to be served on the owner of said
premises pursuant to the Municipal Code.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
