Snow Emergency Route Restrictions Will Go In Effect at
Midnight on Monday, February 8, 2016
Leesburg, VA (February 8, 2016) – Current forecasts call for one to two inches of snow to fall in
Leesburg late this evening and into early Tuesday morning. In preparation for possible snow
removal operations, Town officials will put Snow Emergency Route restrictions into effect at
midnight tonight.
When Snow Emergency Route restrictions are in place, all vehicles parked on the street along
snow emergency routes (King, Market and Loudoun Streets) must be removed. Any vehicles
remaining on snow emergency routes once snow removal operations begin will be towed at the
owners’ expense.
The Leesburg Snow Hotline (703-777-SNOW) will be activated at 6:00am on Tuesday, February
9, 2016. Residents can call the hotline for information on current snow removal operations and
to report snow-related problems. Residents can also report problems via the Town website at
www.leesburgva.gov/snowissue.
