The Mayor introduced Mr. Bert Sawyer who was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Yr. Mason File as alderman of the fir t ward. The license committee recommended that e special meeting he held on June 17th to act on the application of Edwin Wittock for a Class "A" Malt Beverage and Class "A" Liquor license. It was moved by Alderman. Nehls end seconded btu Alderman T'esenberg that recommendation be approved end a soeciel meeting held on June 17th to pet on application and on any other business that may come before the council. Motion csrried. A petition was presented for the instel.la.tion of a. water main on Barnes Street between Baird Avenue and. Eastern Avenue. It vas moved by Alderman Locke and seconded by Alderman Kabel that it be referred to the water committee for investigation and recommendation. Motion carried. This being the date set for a public hearing on the ordinance for annexation of property in the Town of Pine Lake to the City of Rhinelan as petitioned for by property owners, the ordinance was read for the second time.
