The minutes of the regular meeting of April 3 and the adjourned meeting t're same night were read and approved as read. The :following committees were appointed by the Mayor to serve for the coming tern: Finance & Printinv Water works Ven bie,Molander,Tinker Tlnker,Carl,Cordili Street & Alley & Improvements Fire & Police Molander,Frire,Carl Cardill,Tinker,Mol.ander Park & Cemetery Judiciary Frye,Ca.ri,Venable Cordill,Venabie,Frye May o r Pro -tern August Mol •rider Clyde Edwards expl i aned to the Board about +h o 0r?d Fellow Lode organizing a soft ball team with lights on the field so they could play at night.He asked the Board. to furnish the tractor and� gas for grading the filed and to sprinkle when it was dusty. Cordill moved,Tinker seconded:That the Board fornish the tractor and gas for putting a soft hall diamond in shape and to sprinkle as needed.All voted aye upon roll call. A pettion by the property owners of block 17 in which they as sd that the street north and the alley west of their block be ppened,wae read. Molander moved,Carl seconded:That the Bna±d declare fifth street north of block 17 and the alley west of the sane block opener' and ask the property owners to clear their allev. All voted ave. The applications of Harry Huyler and F.B,Smith as Town Clerk, were read. Cordill moved,Venable seconded:That the Board arpoi.nt H.B.Smith as Town Clerk and Water Supt. at the salary of 40.00 each to serve at the will and pleasure of the ; oars. A11 voted aye upon roll call. There was some discussion about using one man as marshal at night and that he could be called at any time when needed.Cordill moved, Molander seconded:That the Boatt appoint Cdr. Tegtman as marshal lit the salary of § 100. Lester Dean and Mr.Hubbard applied for the position of night marshal.Cordill moved,Molander seconded:To appoint 'fir. Ci.E.Hubbard as night marshal to derve at the gill and pleaure of the Board. All voted aye. Molander mn-red,Venable seconded:To appoint _J.D.Rickrman as Cem. Supt . at the salary of 8 15.00 per. month.All voted aye.
