Tl~e meeting was called to order at 7:50 p.M,bv Manor VanBuskirk.
Carl, Ccrdill,Frve,Molander,Tinker & Venable were present.
The minutes of the regular meeting of April 3 and the adjourned
meeting t're same night were read and approved as read.
The :following committees were appointed by the Mayor to serve
for the coming tern:
Finance & Printinv Water works
Ven bie,Molander,Tinker Tlnker,Carl,Cordili
Street & Alley & Improvements Fire & Police
Molander,Frire,Carl Cardill,Tinker,Mol.ander
Park & Cemetery Judiciary

Clyde Edwards expl i aned to the Board about +h o 0r?d Fellow Lode
organizing a soft ball team with lights on the field so they could
play at night.He asked the Board. to furnish the tractor and� gas
for grading the filed and to sprinkle when it was dusty.
Cordill moved,Tinker seconded:That the Board fornish the tractor
and gas for putting a soft hall diamond in shape and to sprinkle
as needed.All voted aye upon roll call.
A pettion by the property owners of block 17 in which they
as sd that the street north and the alley west of their block be
ppened,wae read.
Molander moved,Carl seconded:That the Bna±d declare fifth street
north of block 17 and the alley west of the sane block opener' and
ask the property owners to clear their allev. Al.l voted ave upon roll.

Molander moved,verable seconded:To appoint Hans Pearson as Park
Supt at the salary of 50.00 per month. All voted ave.
The applications of Harry Huyler and F.B,Smith as Town Clerk,
were read.
Cordill moved,Venable seconded:That the Board arpoi.nt H.B.Smith
as Town Clerk and Water Supt. at the salary of 40.00 each to serve
at the will and pleasure of the ; oars. A11 voted aye upon roll call.
There was some discussion about using one man as marshal at night
and that he could be called at any time when needed.Cordill moved,
Molander seconded:That the Boatt appoint Cdr. Tegtman as marshal lit
the salary of § 100. CSC k tr r month to serve at the will and pleaure
of the Boactal`Car1,Moiander and Cordill voted aye and Frye,Tinker
and Venable voted nay making a tie vote and the Mayor cast his rote
for Mr. T egtman and he was declared appointed.
Lester Dean and Mr.Hubbard applied for the position of night
marshal.Cordill moved,Molander seconded:To appoint 'fir. Ci.E.Hubbard
as night marshal to derve at the gill and pleaure of the Board. A11
voted aye upon roll call.
It was decidedto have the ark Committee look after the spraying
of the Park trees, and also loolr the power mower over.
E. C. Clavton rade application as Town Atty.Cordill moved,Venable
seconded:To appoint Wm. Kelly as Town Atty.for the corning term.:11
voted aye. The A tty. was to be paid for servioece rendered.
Carl moved,Tinker seconded:To appoint C.L.Neisler as Town Treasurer
All voted afire upon roll call.
Molander rioved,Cordill seconded:That the beard pap Tl'e State
F i remens Assn. dues of n 15.06 . All voted aye.
Cordill moved,venable seconded:To appoints C . A, Bravton as Police
Judge. A11 voted aye.
Cordill moved,Tinker seoonded:That a, building permit be granted
to C?^as.Robinson to bmi .d a rrarage 50 x 100 ft. to be constructed
of tile covered with stucco and having a composition rodf covering
and to cornplv with the Town building code. All voted aye.
Molander mn-red,Venable seconded:To appoint _J.D.Rickrman as Cem.
Supt . at the salary of 8 15.00 per. month.All voted aye.
Cordill moved,Venable seconded:To adjourn subject to the call of
the Mayor. Mo tion carried.
