AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE 5123,500�00 FROM THE i=IRE STATION
BUILDING FUND TO CONSTRUCT AND EQUIP A 1lEW NO. 5 FIRE STATION
WHEREAS, Resolution No, 3--1971 established a Fire Station Building
Fund to provide funds from monies tiransferred from the Cumulative
Capital Improvement Fund (Cigarette Tax).., to provide funds for
the following purpose:
To build, construct and erect, e,:.ip and
maintain.a building for Fire Station No. 5
in the City of Richmond, Indiana;
WHEREAS, there is a need for funds tc do all those things necessary
to erect a fare station; and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergenciieG have developed since
the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is.now
necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions
of the .city government than was appropriated in the annual budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF.RICHMOND, INDIANA:
SECTION to That for the expenses of the city government and its
institutions for the year ending December 31, 1971, the following
amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the
Fire Station Building Fund for the No. 5 Fire Station. Said sum
being subject to all laws governing the same and such amount
appropriated shall be hald to include all expenditures authorized
to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law,
SECTION 2. that for the said fiscal period, there is hereby
appropriated from the Fire Station Building Fund for No. 5 Fire
Station the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary
emergencies hereby declared to exist:
NO. 7 PROPERTIES a NO, 71 and 72 BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, IMPROVEMENTS
AND EQUIPMENTS - The erection and equiping.of Fire Station No. 50

SECTION 3. This creinance shall be in full force ane effect from
and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject
to the laws of the State of Indiana, governing emergency appropri-
ationsa
