RESOLUTION NO. 87 -2692
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY APPROVING THE FINAL ZONE APPLICATION
AND TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FORMATION OF THE
SAN GABRIEL VALLEY TRANSPORTATION ZONE JPA.
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City, the County of Los
Angeles and the other cities in the San Gabriel Valley are desir-
ous of providing public transit service more cost - effectively;
and
WHEREAS, the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission
adopted guidelines on February 26, 1986, related to the creation
of a Transportation Zone; and
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City is desirous of partici-
pating in the formation and administration of a San Gabriel
Valley Transportation Zone; and
WHEREAS, an application for the creation of a San Gabriel
Valley Transportation Zone has been submitted to the Los Angeles
County Transportation Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing, the
City of Temple City agrees to:
SECTION 1. Approve the Final Zone Application to be
submitted to the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission
including the Operations and Financial Plans and to participate
in the formation of the San Gabriel Valley Transportation Zone
Joint Powers Authority (JPA) to administer the requirements of
the Zone as set forth by the Los Angeles County Transportation
Commission.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a
regular meeting held on the 20th day of January, 1987, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen - Froehle, Gillanders, Atkins
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen -Swain
