ORDINANCE N0, 569
AN ORDINANCE OF THE INCORPORATED CITY OF LYNL400D
ESTABLISHING TAX DISTRICT NUMBER 1 OF SAID CITY,
FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES, AND LEVYING TAXES FOR
THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1951 AND ENDING
JUNE 30, 1952.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood, California, does
ordain as follows, to-wit: ~
Section 1: TAX DISTRICT N0. 1. That for the purposes of
taxation, all of that territory and lands lying and. being in the
corporate limits of the City of Lynwood, California, prior to
June 30, 191, and all that portion of the~City of Lynwood included
within the boundaries thereof as fixed by special election held
June 30, 1941 and known as Broadacrea (Ordinance No. 348); all that
territory annexed to the Gity of Lynwood known as Ozell Manor
(Ordinance PTO. 479); all that territory annexed to the City of
Lynwood known as Ozell Ivlanor Annex No. 2 (Ordinance No. 487); all
that territory annexed to the City of Lynwood known ae Caress Street
Annexation (Ordinance No. 497); all that territory annexed to the
City of Lynwood known as Wright Road Annex No. 1 (Ordinance No. 517);
a.ll that territory annexed to the City of Lynerood known as G7right
Road Annex No. 2 (Ordinance No. 51~);'all that territory annexed to
the City of Lynwood known as Wright Road Annex No. 3 (Ordinance No.
534); all that territory annexed to the City of Lynwood known as
Alameda Annex No. 1 (Ordinance No. 548); and all that territory
annexed to the City of Lynwood known as Wright Road Annex No. 4•
(Ord.inance No. 561); being all territory constituting the corporate
boundaries of the City of Lynwood as originally incorporated and
territory thereafter annexed to said City from the date of incor-
poration to March 1, 1951, be known as and constitute Tax District
No, 1 of said City.
Section 2: That the amount of money necessary to be
raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate
limits of the City of Lynwood, County of Loa Angel ea, State oP
California, in Tax District Number 1 of said City; to provide for

carrying on the various functions of municipal government in said
City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1951 and ending June 30,
1952, is hereby fixed at the sum of One hundred ninety two thousand
four hundred six and 76/hundredths dollars 0192,4.06.76).
Section 3: That in addition to the amount of money necesa-
ary to be raised as aforesaid., the amount of money necessary to be ,
raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate -
limits of said City in Tax District No. 1 of said. City to provide
for the payment to the State Employeea~ Retirement System according
to the terms of contract with the State of California for making
the officials and employees of the City of Lyn~rood members of the
State Employeea~ Retirement System; authority for the execution of
said contract as granted by Ordinance No, 426, adopted by•a vote of
the qualified electors of the City of Lynwood the 16th day of April,
1946. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1951 and ending June 30,
1952, it is Hereby fixed at the sum of Forty three thousand eight and
57/hundredths dollars 043,008.57)•
Section 4: That in addition to the amount of money neceas-
ary to be raised as aforesaid, the amount of money necessary to be
raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate
limits of said City and in Tax District No. l.of said City, to pro-
vide for a capital fund, for capital outlays and for public improve-
ments, to-wit: public parka as authorized by provisions of Ordinance
No. 322 of said City, fo-r the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1951, and
ending June 30, 1952, is hereby fixed at the sum of Four thousand
five hundred twenty seven and 22/hundredths dollars (44,527.22).
Section 5: That for the purpose of raising the sums of
money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property
within the City limits of said City of Lynwood as the revenue to
carry on the function of the various departments of said City; to
provide a park capital account; to provide payment to State Employees
Retirement Fund as authorized in Ordinance No. 426; the rates of taxes
are hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on all taxable property
within the City limits of said City, included in Tax District Number 1

for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1951 and ending June 30, 1952
upon each X100.00 of the assessed value of said property as assessed
by the County Assessor and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Los Angeles, State of California, for the said fiscal
year, as follows:

Section 6: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
in accordance with the terms of Section 36937 of the Government Code
of the State of California.
Section 7: That the City Glerk of said. City shall certify
to the passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be published
once in the Lynwood Press, a weekly newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in said City of Lynwood.
.First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 21st day of.Auguat, 1951, and finally adopted
and ordered published at an adjourned regular meeting of said Coun-
cil held on the 27th day of August, 1951, by the following vote:

Sneddon, Willard
