AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNAIOOD APPROVING THE
ANNEXATIGN OF THAT CERTAIST PROPF~RTY IN THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES LYING EASTERLY OF ATLANTIC AVENUE
WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939", a petition was filed with the City Clerk
and duly presented to the City Council of the City of Lynwood on
December 19th, 1950, requesting the annexation by the City of
Lynwood of certain uninhabited. territory contiguous to the City
of Lynioood in the County of Los Angeles lying easterly of Atlantic
Avenue, and hereinafter particularly described; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution ATo. 2293 adopted by the City
Council of the City of Lynwood on the 19th. day of December, 1950,
and published. in the Lynwood Press, the City Council of the City
of Lynwood duly gave notice of and fixed. the 6th of February, 1951,
at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza
Street, Lynwood, California, as the day, hour, and place when ahd
orhere any person owning real property in such territory so published-
to be annexed and having any objection to the proposed annexation
might appear before said City Council and show cause why such terri-
tory should not be so annexed; and
IVHERF.AS, no protests have been filed; and
WHEREAS, all proceedings have been in conformity with law;
IdOVd, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does ordain.~as follows:
Section 1: That pursuant to the °Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939" the annexation of that certain uninhabited terri-
tory contiguous to the City of Lynwood in the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, designated as "Wright Road Annex No. ~" as here-
inafter more particularly described, hereby is approved
Said property lying easterly of Atlantic Avenue is included.
within the boundary line described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 10 of Tract
No. 10587 as shohm on man recorded in Book 162, Pages 27 and 28
of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, California, said point
being on the southerly boundary line of the City of Lynvrood as
said boundary line existed December 1, 1950; thence ~~resterly in a
direct line thru the most southerly corner of Lot 20 of Tract Tdo.
7984 as shown on map recorded in Book g0, Pages 34, 35 and 36 of
Maps, Records of said county, to the westerly line of the first
alley easterly of Atlantic Avenue, said point being on the easterly
boundary line of the City of Lynwood as said boundary existed
December 1, 1950; thence northerly along said boundary line and
following the same in all its various courses to the point of
beginning.
Section 2: This ordinance is urgently required for the
immediate preservation of public peace, health and safety in the
City of Lynwood and shall be in effect immediately upon adoption.
The following is a specific statement showing the emergency of this
ordinance:. The City of Lynt;ood is nearly 100 per cent built and.
the need for additional territory for expansion is imperative.
Section 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause same to be published once in the
Lynwood Press.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on the 6th day of February, 1951, and finally
adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council
held on the 20th day of February, 1951, by the following vote:

City Counoil of the City of Lynwood and that same was
passed on the date and by the vote therein stated.
