The communications were read but as there was noth.in ;>w-aatt
should be answered but an exemption blank for the State Sales
they were tabled and the clerk was instructed to answer the exemption.
Applications for _Park & Cemetery Supt.were read.These were signed
by Hans Pearson & J.D.Rickman.
Cordill moved,Mclander seconded: -That the Park Committee be
instructed to put a man to work on the Park and that the application
of Hans Pearson be accepted.Ail voted aye upon roll call.
There was no action on the Cemetery Supt. application. It was
left- to the .Cemetery Committee to investigate the lowering of the
well at the Cemetery.
The following bills were read by the finance committee and
approved by the same:

The bills of the Dewitt Hotel of 20.00 for a full months relief
rent was reduced to 5.00 for 7 days.
Cordill moved,Venable seconded: -That the rest of the bills be
allowed ad warrants drawn on the Treasurer for the amounts. All voted
ave upon roll call.
Cordill moved,Venable seconded: -To adjourn subject to the call
of the Mayor. Motion carried. -

Regular meeting
May 7 1935
The meetin7 was called to order by Mayor van Buskirk at 8:00 P.M.
Roll call showed the following members present:Carl,Cordill,Frve,
Molander & Venable.Tinker absent.
The minutes of the regular meetigg of April 2 were read and
arproved as read.
"fir. Smader spoke to the boardabout putting in a. light on the
corner by the pump house.Cordill mored,Carl seccnded:That the clerk
be instructed to have a light instlled on thP cornier by thepump
houses. All voted ave.
There wereseveral leters from Amos C.Sudler & CO. in regard to
the transfer of Park Bonds but as the4f instructions in them had
been carried out they were placed onfile.These bonds had been trans--
fered at the Company's office on MMa,1r 1 and the certificate of can-
celation is filed with Ordinance 97. Some letters asking for infor-
mation concerning the names of the Town's officers and engineer were
read but as they had been answered they were put on file.
A rood -will day proclamation by the governor was read but no action
w a s taken.
The State Engineer wrote that the town had not asked for any P.W.At
projects . Theolerk was instructed to make the necessary application.
The board was notified that the Cmmetery Committee had hired J.D.
Rickman as Cemetery Supt. and that he was at work.
Clyde Edwards made serbal application for a resturant license for
dispensing liquor by the drink. This to include epiritious,malt &
vinious liquors.
R.W.Riedel and Ed.Clauson made, verbal applications for drug store
liquor license to sell the same in containers, ?nd not to be con-
sumed on thepremises.
John B.Doclin<r made a written application for license to sell
repeal beer and wine.

not to allow any riders on the fire truck except authorized riders
either to or from a fireand that a sign be placed on the truck to
that effect. All voted aye.
