ORDINANCE N0.5~F~
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING THE
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY Ii~~ THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES LYING WESTERLY OF ALATvIEDA STREET.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the "Annexation of Uninhabited Terri-
tory Act of 1939°, a petition was filed with the City Clerk and duly
presented to the City Council of the City of Lynwood on July 18, 1950,
requesting the annexation by the City of L;/nwood of certain unin-
habited territory contiguous to the City of Lynwood in the County of
Los Angeles lying westerly of Alameda Street, and hereinafter particular-
ly described; and
PtHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2285 adopted by the City Council
of the City of Lynwood on the 18th dayMof July, 1950; and published
in the Lynwood Press, the City Council of the Gity,•of Lynwood duly gave
notice of and fixed the 5th of September, 19,50, at. 8:.00 p.m, in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, 11331 Plaza Street, Lynwood, Calif-
ornia, as the day, hour, and place when and where any person ovming
real property in such territory so published to be annexed and having
any ob,Jection to the proposed annexation might appear before said City
Council and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed; and
WHEREASpJoprotests'have been filed; and

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council"~of the City of Lynwood_ does
ordain as follows:
Section 1: That pursuait to the "Annexation of Uninhabited
Territory Act of 1939" the annexation of~that certain uninhabited terri-
tort' contiguous to the City of Lynwood in the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, designated as ."Alameda Annex No. 1° as herein-
after more particularly described, hereby is approved.
Said property lying westerly of Alameda Street is included
within the boundary line described as follows.:.
That portion of Hullis Land as shovm on map recorded
in Hook 3, Page 399 of Miscellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County, California, lying within the following
described exterior boundary line to-wit:

Beginning North 11 degrees, 44 minutes West 1020.59
feet from the southwest corner of the 0. J. Bullis
100,495 Acre allotment; thence North 11 degrees, 44
minutes West 516.15 feet; thence North 82 degrees,
17 minutes, 20 seconds East 586.11 feet; thence IdortY!
11 degrees, 45 minutes West 256.88 feet; thence North
82 degrees, 26 minutes East 723.48 feet more or
less to the westerly line of Alameda Street, said
point being on the westerly boundary line of the City
of Lynwood as said boundary existed June 1, 1950;
thence South 7 degrees, 34 minutes East along said
boundary line 769.86 feet more or less to a point
North 82 degrees, 26 minutes East 1252.43 feet from

Section 2: This ordinance is urgently required for the im-
mediate preservation of public peace, health and safety in the City of
Lynwood and shall be in effect immediately upon adoption. The following
is a specific statement showing the emergency of this ordinance: The
City of Lynwood is nearly 100 per cent built and the need for additional
territory for expansion is imperative.
Section 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and shall cause same to be published once in the Lynwood
Press.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on the 5th day of September, 1950,. and finally adopted and
' ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held ~on the
