The City Council of the City of Lynt~TOOd, California, does ordain as follows, to-t~.*it: Section l: TAX DISTRICT N0, 1. That for the purposes of taxation, all of that territory and lands lying and being in the corporate limits of the City of Lynti,ood, California, prior to June 30, 1941, and all that portion of the City of Lynwood included within the boundaries thereof as fixed by special election held June 3C, 1941 and known as Broadacres (Crdinance DIo. 348); all that territory annexed to the City of Lynviood knotim as Ozell Manor (Ordinance No. 479); all that territory annexed to the City of Lynwood known as Ozell Manor Annex No. Z (Crdinance ITo. 487); all that territory annexed to the City of Lynwood known as Caress Street Annexation (Ordinance TQo. u•97); all that territory annexed to the City of Lyntirood known as 4^lright Road Annex No. 1 (Ordinance No. ,517); and all that territory annexed to the City of Lynwood knotim as H!right Road Annex No. 2 (Ordinance No. 514); being alI territory constituting the corporate boundaries of the City of LynTrrood as originally incor- porated and territory thereafter annexed to said City from the date of incorporation to February 1, 1950, be knotm as and constitute Tax District DTo. 1 of said City. Section 2: That the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property ,within the corporate limits of the City of Lynwood, County of Los Angeles, State of Cal iforr.ia, in Tax District Number 1 of said City, to provide for carrying on the various functions of municipal governn;ent in said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1950 and ending June 30, 1951, is hereby fixed at the sum of One hundred seventy seven thou- sand. six hundred twenty five and 27~hundreths dollars 0177,625.27)" -1- Section 3: That in addition to the amount of money neces- sary to be raised as aforesaid, the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property vaitr~in the corporate limits of said City in Tax District Dto. l of said City to provide for the payment to the State Employees' Retirement System. according to the terms of contract with the State of California for making the officials and employees of the City of Lynwood members of the State Employees' Retirement System; authority for the execution of said contract as granted by Ordinance No. 426, adopted by a vote of the qualified ele.etors of the City of Lynwood the 16th day of April, 1946. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1950 and ending June 30, 1951. it is hereby fixed at the sum of Fourty three thousand eight hundred eighty three and 89/huridreths dollars ($~~3,883.8g) Section ~;• That in addition to the amount of money neces- sary to be raised as aforesaid, the amount of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the corporate limits of said. City and in Tax District No. 1 of said Gity, to pro- vide for a capital fund, for capital outlays and for public improve- ments, to-wit: public parka as authorized by provisions of Ordinance No. 322 of said City, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1950 and ending June 30, 1951, is hereby fixed at the sum of Four thousand one ~ 179.42) hundred seventy niize and 42/huridreths dollars (fir , Section 5: That for the puzpose of raising the sums of money necessary to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property i;*ithin the City limits of said Gity of Lynwood as the revenue to carry on the function of the various departments of said City; to provide a park capital account; to provide payment to State Employees' Retirement Fund as authorized in Ordinance IVo. 4'26, the rates of taxes are hereby fixed and taxes are hereby levied on all taxable property within the City limits of said City, included in Tax District Number 1 ~.-. _2_ r for the fiscal year. beginning July 1, 1850 and ending June 30, 1951 upon each X100.00 a~ the assessed value of said property as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized by tY~e Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, State of California, for the said fiscal year,z>as follovas: For general purposes ~ 0,85 For public park capital fund .02 For City~s contribution to State Retirement Fund authorized at election held April 194.6 .21 TOTAL ~ 1.08 Section 6: This 0-rc~inance shall take effect immediately in accordance t~Titr, the terms of Section 36937 of. the Government Code of the State of California. Section 7: That the Gity Clerk of said City shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a ireekly neti~,spaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said City of Lyn4•.*ood.
