MEDINA CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF OCTOBER 4, 2011
The City Council of Medina, Minnesota met in special session on October 4, 2011 at 5:30
p.m. at the Medina City Hall, 2052 County Road 24, Medina, MN.
I. Call to Order
Members present: Crosby, Martinson, Siitari, Pederson
Members absent: Weir
Also present: City Administrator Scott Johnson, City Planner Dusty Finke, City
Attorney Ron Batty, and Attorney George Hoff.
II. Closed Session: Discuss ongoing Litigation
City Council went into closed session to discuss ongoing litigation. City Council went
into open session at 6:02 PM. .
III. Discuss Property Acquisition
A brief recess was called and open session began at 6:05 PM. Mayor Crosby explained
that the City is waiting for a counter-offer and the property owner is considering their
options. The proposed Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) included a $6.5 million option
for a new facility and a $4 million option for an existing facility. The maximum bond
sale is $6.5 million under the CIP.
IV. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 6:18 p.m.
