AN ORDIiQANCE OF THE CI'T'Y OF LYNIVOOD PROHIBITING
LOITERING ABOUT SC'ti00LS OR I~e'EAR SCHOOLS BY PER-
SONS Wi DER THE AGE OF TF7N3IQTY-OIdE (21) YEARS AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby ordain
as follows:
Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person under the
age of twenty-one (21) years to loiter about, any school or in the
vicinity of any school during any day when school is in sess5.on;
Section 2: It shall not be deemed a violation of this ordin-
ante for any person under the age of twenty-one (21) years to be about
a school or in the vicinity of a school for the purpose of meeting,
picking up, transporting, or accompanying students from said school, if
any such person has first obtained written permission from the parent
or guardian of such student and such written permission bears the in-
dorsement of the principal or someone autY~orized by the principal of
said school and has such authorized written permission in his possession.
Section 3: Arty person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon convic-
tion thereof shall. be punishable by a fine of not to exceed five hun-
dred dollars (r~'500.00) or imprisonment in the City Jail of the City of
Lynwood or the County Jail of Los Angeles County, State of California,
Por a period of time not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and
imprisonment.
Each such person,ahall be deemed guilty of a separate offense
for every day during any portion of which violation of any provision of
this ordinance is committed, continued, or permitted by such person,
and shall be punishable therefor as provided by this ordinance.
Section 4: The City Glerk shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the
Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general circulation, published and cir-
culated in said City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said

and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
21st day of Mareh , 1950, by the following vote:
