AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO RICHARD PETTY EXCA V A TING FOR
COMPLETION OF NJDOT FY 1999 LOCAL AID PROJECT/LOUIS STREET
AND FILLMORE AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, there had been certain deficient construction items identified by the NJDO
for the Lewis Street and Fillmore Avenue project; and
WHEREAS, until said deficient items were completed and approved by the NJDOT, the
Borough could not close out this the referenced Local Aid Project and receive the balanc
ofthe grant monies owed to the Borough for said project; and
WHEREAS, Richard Petty excavating have completed the deficient construction items
to the satisfaction of the NJDOT in accordance with its final inspection report dated
December 15,2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, as follows:
1. Payment to Richard J. Petty excavating in the amount of
$17,370.00 for the completion of its deficient construction items
for the Louis Street and Fillmore A venue NJDOT FY 1999 Local
Aid Project is hereby approved.
2. At the appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized and
directed to make payment to Richard Petty excavating as provided
for herein.
3. A copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Borough purchasing
department and to the Borough consulting engineer for the project
Hatch Mott MacDonald.
Adopted this 13th day of January, 2005
and certified as a true copy of the
original on January 14, 2005.
