The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby ordain
as follovas:
Section 1: Section 4 of Ordinance No. 267 of the City of
Lynwood is amended to rea3 as follows:
"Section 4: Disbursement of Trust ?,loney;.Duties of Clerk:
Said trust moneys so deposited in accordance with this Ord.ina.nde are to
be held in trust by the Clerk of said Court until the Judge of the City
Court of the City of Lynwood shall order disbursement thereof.
°-d`,~hen cash bail or the money deposited in lieu of bail has by
the City Court been ordered exonerated, the Clerk shall promptly repay
out of said funds to the person depositing the cash bail or money in
lieu thereof, the amount deposited in such case.
"In any case where the City Court has declared a forfeiture of
the bail or the money deposited. in lieu of bail, the Clerk sYxall hold
said money in said trust fund for ninety days, after the entry of the .
forfeiture in the minutes, after which the Clerk shal]. inmedi==^~tely
deposit said moneys vvitii the City Treasurer of the City of Lynt+tood and.
advise the City Treasurer the source of the money and the fund or funds
to t~rhich such moneys should. be properly credited.
°"~Y'here the bail or money in lieu of bail is deposited with the
Clerk of the City Court by the defendant personally and the defendant
shall neglect or fail to appear and the City Court has declared the same
forfeited and the forfeiture is not discharged or remitted, said- Clerk
shall forthwith pay said bail or money to the City Treasurer of the City
of Lynwood and advise the City Treasurer of the source of the funds and
the fund or funds to vahich it should properly be credited.
"Where money is deposited instead of bail either by the defen-
da.nt personally, or by person or persons on behalf of said defendant, and.
if such money remains on deposit a,t the time of judgment for the payment

of a fine, the clerk must, under the direction of the court,apply the
money in satisfaction thereof, and after satisfying the fine and costs,
must forthwith refund the surplus, if any, to the defendant, or to the
person or persons found by the court to have deposited such money on behal
of said defendant.
"That the said Clerk shall in all other instances disburse said
funds in strict accordance with the written order of the court.
"That all disbursements by said Clerk shall be made by check
to be signed by the said Clerk as Trustee.
°The said Clerk shall keep a set of books and records shoeing
a.ll receipts and disbursements and identifying the source of money
received. That said Clerk shall issue duplicate receipts for any money
collected and. retain one copy for Court records. That the records of
said Clerk shall be in all respects considered the reccrd.s of the Court.
"That the Clerk of the Gity Court shall submit a v:~ritten re-
port which shall be duly verified to the City Council at the~end of each
current month showing in detail moneys received-, moneys disbursed, and
moneys on deposit, and naming the depository.°
Section ~: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once
in the Lynwood Press, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed,
published,.and circulated vrithin the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on the 17th day of Janu="ry , 19~, and finally adopted
and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
9th _ day of February , 19~p, by the f ollowing vote:
