AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING .
ORDIIANCE N0. 422 OF SAID CITY BY ADDING A NEW
SECTION THERETO TO BE DESIGNATED "SECTION 3(d)
AND PROVIDIiQG I'OR TfiE ES'I'ABLISfi1vIENT OF ZONE
FOR NEWLY ANIaEXED TERRITORY.
~ The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as

Section l: That Ordinznce No. 422 is amended by adding
thereto a new section to be designated as Section 3(d) of said ordinance,
to read as follows:
"Section 3(d): When territory is annexed to the City of
Lynwood, the use of such lands and improvements thereon shall be deemed
temporarily zoned for R-1--One Family Zone uses; and all the provisions
of this ordinance applicable to R-1 Zone shall be applicable temporarily
as herein provided, to such newly annexed territory. If a use is being
made of said newly annexed territory or any part thereof, of a less re-
strictive zone than R-1 Zone as herein provided, such use may be con-
tinned but shall be deemed non-conforming under this ordinance and such
use shall not be changed, altered, or enlarged except as provided herein
for non-conforming uses.
"Iv'hen territory is annexed to the City of Lynwood, proceedings
shall forthwith be initiated to permanently classify and zone the newly
annexed territory. Proceedings for such purpose shall be initiated in
accordance with the terms of Seetion liti hereof and other applicable
sections. If no petition is filed by property owners in the nearly an-
nexed territory, the Planning Commission shall, on its own motion,
initiate proceedings to permanently zone such newly annexed territory.
Such proceedings shall be completed ~,~ithin one hundred and twenty days
(120) from and after the effective date of annexation.'!
Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and cause 'same to be published once in the Lymrood. Press,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published, and circulated
in the City of Lynwood.

and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on
