ORDINANCE N0. 518
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNL~OOD CREATING
AND ESTABLISHING FIRE ZONES FOR SAID CITY.
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as
follows:
Section 1: The entire incorporated area of the City of
Lynwood is hereby declared to be and is hereby established as afire
district and said fire district shall be knoam and designated as Fire
Zones 2 and 3, respectively. Reference is hereby 'made to "Uniform
Building Code, 1849 Edition, published January 1, 1949, by Pacific
Coact Building Officials Conference°, as adopted by Ordinance No. 498
of the City of Lynvaood. All land and structures within the City of
Lynarood included in said~Fire Zones 2 and 3 shall be restricted for
said zones in the manner prescribed by said Uniform Building Code.
Section 2: Fire Zone 2 shall include all territory within
the City of LynU!ood now or hereafter zoned or used as C-2, C-3, pursuant
to Ordinance No. 422 of the City of Lynwood. All other parts of said
city now or hereafter not so zoned, shall be included in Fire Zone 3.
Section 3: Section 3 of Ordinance No. 423 of the City of
Lynwood so far as it establishes Fire Zones, 1, 2, and 3 shall no longer
regulate construction and occupancy pursuant to said Uniform Building
Code; however, said Fire Zonee~l, 2, and 3 as prescribed by Section 3
of said Ordinance No. 423 shall remain in force and effect for the pur-
poses of Ordinance No. 471 only of said city:
Section 4: Any person, firm, or corporation violating any
oP the regulations pertaining to Fire Zones 2 or 3 as herein provided
and as provided in said Uniform Building Code shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a
Pine of not to exceed five hundred dollars (5500.00) or imprisonment in
the City Jail of the City of Lynwood or the County-Jail of Los Angeles
County, State of California, for a period of time not to exceed.six
months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

Each such person, firm, or corporation shall be deemed
guilty oP a separate offense for everyday during any portion of which
violation of any provisions of this ordinance is committed, continued,
or permitted by such person, firm, or corporation, and shall be punish-
able therefor as provided by this ordinance.
Section 6: The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to
certify to the passage of this ordinance and to cause the same to be
published once in the LynU.*ood Press, a neVrspaper of general circulation
printed and circulated in the City~of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said Gity held_ on the 6th day of December 1 ~
