HomeMy Public PortalAbout2664-1971 - Zoning - 1116 NW 5th Street from R-2 to C-4ORDINANCE NO. 2664-1971 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 2325=1963 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED .TUNE 3, 1968. BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-19,68 designates and describes as R-2 (One Family Resi- dential), the following described property located at 1116 North-- west 5th Street, in the City of Richmond, Indiana,. to -wit: - Part of the Northeast Quarter of Section Thirty-one (31) Township Fourteen (14) flange One (7) West. Beginning at a point on the East line of said section seven hundred sixty-four and five tenths.(764.5) feet south of the northeast corner of said quarter; running thence west parallel with the north line of said section four hun- dred sixty-four and eighty-four hundredths (464.84) feet to the stuthwest corner of land formerly deeded to Dale E. and Fanny L. McGuire; thence north along the west line of said Dale E. and Fanny L. McGuire a distance of fifty- nine (59) feet, the beginning point of this description; from said beginning point thence west parallel with the north line of said section five hundred twelve and four tenths (512.4) feet; thence south one hundred one and two hundredths (101.02) feet to the north line of the right of way of the P.C.C. & St. L. Railroad Co.; thence southeasterly, �pon the north line of said right-of-way approximately six hundred twenty-one and four tenths (621.4) feet, more or less, to the west line of land deeded to E. Annie Wilson; thence north along said line one hundred forty, -one (141) feet; thence east fifty (50) feet; thence.nor:th one hundred ninety-nine (;199) feet, more or less, to the place of beginning., SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning classification of the above described area from R-2 to C-4. SECTION 3. WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was cc,nduc ed by the Richmond Plan Commission on the day of 1971, at which time remonstrances were e.rd from a par es interested in or affected by this urdi'na.nc'�: SECTIOW 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the RiGhmcnd City Plan Commission was to in (Favor of f►), recommending the ad�;p i n oi° 0 :nance No. 26611-197i i NOW THEREFORE: SECTION 5. :It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of the above described .property be, and .the same is hereby chianged to General Business District and that .aid Or-operty be regul!Ated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance; of the City of Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments thereto. SECTION 6. Thi`s ordinance shall be in full force and. effect fr(Ayf and after its pa-ssage and publication as by law require& SECTION 7. The- original zoning classification of the afuremen- tioned areas is. hereby rescinded and the zoning classification of this area.wil)`be in accordance with.Section 2 of this Ordinance.
