HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 01:193No. 01-193 Date ot AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID/CARTERET AVENUE SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, on May 23, 2001, the borough of Carteret received sealed proposals for the Carteret Avenue Pedestrian Improvement Project; and WHEREAS, six (6) bids were received for said work; and WHEREAS, the lowest bidder submitting a proposal was T. Grasso & Sons, Inc., of Roselle Park, New Jersey in the amount of $192,350.00; and WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the Iow bid of T. Grasso & Sons, Inc., and combined with its satisfactory past performance, has recommended that the Borough of Carteret award the contract for the Carteret Avenue Sidewalk Improvements to said company. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as follows: The contract for the construction of the Carteret Avenue Sidewalk Improvements is hereby awarded to T. Grasso & Sons. Inc., pending acknowledgement certification by the Chief Financial Officer that funds am available to award this bid, approval of the New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour Compliance and approval of the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The Mayor and appropriate Borough Officials are authorized to execute the agreement with T. Grasso & Sons, Inc., for the construction of the Carteret Avenue Sidewalk improvements pursuant to the bid specifications in all respects at a cost not to exceed One Hundred Ninety Two Thousand Three Hundred Fifty Dollars (192,350.00). Adopted this 21st day of June, 2001 certified as a true copy of the original on June 22, 2001. and KATHLEEN M.
