AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
ORDINANCE N0. 432 BY REPEALING SUB-SECTION 5
OF SECTIOAT 14~OF SAIDSECTI0~1`TN14, AND BY ADDING
A NEI9 SUB-SECTION 5,
Thy City Council of the City of Lynwood does,ordain as
follows:
Section 1: Sub-section 5 of Section 14 of Ordinance No.
432 is hereby repealed.
Section 2: Anew Sub-section 5 of Section 14 of said.
Ordinance No. 432 is hereby added to said ordinance, to read as
follows:
"Sub-section 5: Upon the filing of every relocation appli-
cation k*ith the City Manager of the City of Lyni•rood, the City Manager
shall forth~ti*itli cause notice of such application to be given to the
owners of all property within a radius of 300 feet of the proposed
relocation site. Notice shall be given by posting a notice consisting
of the words "I~Tot'_ce of Proposed Relocation" in letter not less than
1 inch in height a.nd a statement in 6 or 8 point type setting forth
the fact of the appli.catiori and st2ti ng tha.t a.n;r person or persons
having objection to such relocation shall file written notice of such
objection with the City Aianager on or before the 15th day following
the first posting of such notice. In the event no written objections
are filed, the City Manager shall issue such relocation permit in
accordance with the terms of this ordinance, provided such application
meets all the terms hereof. In the Event written objection to such
relocation is filed as herein prescribed by any interested person, the
City I~ianager shall .then forth~•rith cause such application to be referred
to the Planning Commission for. h.eari.ng. The Planning Co mission shall
thereupon set a time and place for hearing such relocation application
and give appropriate notice thereof. In considering such relocation
application, the Planning Coifunission shall consider the standards
prescribed by this ordinance and_ particularly Section 14, Subdivision
-1-
2 hereof in determining whether such application should be granted or
denied. The decision of the Planning Commission shall be final, pro-
vided that any interested persons may appeal to the City Council ~~rithin
fifteen (1K) days after the making of such decision by the Planning
Commission. In the event the Planning Commission or the City Council
grants such application for relocation, the City P4anager shall be so
advised and he shall then issue such relocation permit in accordance
with the terms of this ordinance and such other conditions as the
Planning Commiasi.on or the City Cotmcil may nrescribe.°
Section 3: The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed
to certify to the passage of the ordinance and to cause the same to
be published once in the Lynwood Press, a newspaper of general cir-
culation, printed and circulated in the City of Lynwood.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on the 16th day of Au~u_at , 7-9?~2, and. finally adopted
and ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
6th day of Sentember,_, 19~, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Bruner, Stroh V3illard, and
1Villiams.
NOES: Councilmen iQone. --
ABSENT: Councilmen Jensen.
