A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING
THE TRANSMITAL OF THE DRAFT 2006-2014 HOUSING ELEMENT TO THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR
COMPLIANCE REVIEW
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is a public body, corporate and politic, established
as a General law City and is governed by an elected body of five council members; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Community Development is required
to review draft housing elements; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly noticed and held before the City Council on
January 20, 2009, at 5:OOpm at the Lynwood City Chambers, at the Lynwood City Hall, at
which time, the Lynwood City Council carefully considered all oral and written testimony
offered at the public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD HEREBY FINDS, ORDERS AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood, based upon the
aforementioned findings and determinations, hereby approves the Draft Housing Element
for the 2006-2014 reporting period, presented to the City Council at its December 16, 2008
meeting, and on file with the Office of the Director of Development Services Department.
Section 2. That this Resolution becomes effective upon adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of January 2008.
