Dr. A. C. McCain made application tor the position of health officer but no change was made. Sanden moved,Burman seconded:To discontinue the position of health officer.This motion was withdrawn. Venable moved,Hankins seconded:To grant Wm.Hobbs a deed to a cem- etery lot.Motion carried. The condition of ask pits around town ware discussed but no action was taken, although some were in bad shape. Tinker moved,Sanden seconded:To pay the clerk 3 100 per month. Venable moned,Sanden seconded:To pay Mr.Widmaier 25 per month to act as mars#al and janitor of the library.Motion carried. M ay o r The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M.by_.the Mayor and the member present were: Hankins,Burman,Jeremiassen,Sanden,Tinker and Venable. The clerk read the minutes of the regular meeting of March 2 and they were approved as read. The communications were only in line of repairs and they we An application for a 3,2 % beer license was read. Venable moved,Tinker seconded:To gratt and approve a 3.2 % beer license to Paul Lampros. who bought the Curtis pool hall,when his state license should come. All voted aye upon roll call. Venablemoved,Hankins seconded:To continue the position of marshal as at present.Motion carried. Jeremiassen state4 that it was out of the question to oil the street north from the hotel as some of the property owners could not pay their share of the coat$.
