CALL TO ORDER Chair Dulle called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Committee Members present: Chair Hal Dulle; Bob Priddy; Lori Rosberg; and Michael Ryno. Committee Members absent: Ivan Turner; Stephen Sampson; Patrick Bonnot. Marti Thruston; and City Council Liaison Dave Kemna. A quorum was NOT present. ATTENDEES: Also in attendance were Brett Holidman, Commander, United Sates Navy, Mayor Carrie Tergin and City Administrator Steve Crowell. 3. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA The April 8, 2019 minutes of the USS Jefferson City Separate Committee meeting were not approved due to lack of a quorum. 4. OLD BUSINESS: None. 5. NEW BUSINESS: A conference telephone call was held with USS Jefferson City Submarine Commander, Steven Dawley and Chief of the Boat Senior Chief, Mark Szymanski. Commander Dawley indicated that the crew of the USS Jefferson City Submarine has completed propulsion testing and needs to test weapon systems on the Submarine. 2 Commander Dawley stated progress is proceeding as planned. Several updates were provided regarding the status of the Submarine. Mayor Tergin thanked Commander Dawley for the expression of concern and support by the crew of the USS Jefferson City in regard to the recent tornado which impacted the City. The Committee asked what they could do for the crew of the USS Jefferson City. Th ere was discussion about a family picnic or perhaps a Christmas party. The Committee wanted to provide a picture of the City to display in the submarine. Commander. Dawley said he would provide the necessary dimensions for a picture. Commander Dawley said he would provide a photograph of the Submarine to Mayor Tergin. Commander Dawley said he and the crew look forward to another visit to Jefferson City in the near future. 6. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. 7. NEXT MEETING DATE: No future meeting date of the USS Jefferson City Submarine Committee was scheduled. The next meeting will probably occur in October. 8. ADJOURNMENT: Meeting concluded at 6:38 p.m.
